Fun things to do in the region of  Vendée during your luxury camping holiday

The city Napoleon
La Roche-sur-Yon was founded in 1804. The pentagon and its division into four districts around the central square is due to Napoleon. This city is full of historic buildings from the time of Napoleon: the church of St. Louis, the theater, and much more. For lovers of history, we recommend you to discover the "Route Napoleon" (proposed by the Tourist Office). There is also a chocolate museum, where you can taste the different delicacies, should we say more?

Nature reserve Marais Poitevin
The national park Marais Poitevin is located in the south of Vendée and contains one of the largest marshes in Europe! We advise you to explore the waters of the marsh through one of the boat trips on site.

Les Sables-d'Olonne
This seaside resort is very popular because of its beautiful beaches and harbors. You can recognize the city center, including the island of Penotte, directly by the mosaic of shell art that adorns the walls. This city is also famous because it organizes every four years the famous race of the Vendée Globe, super nice to experience once!

The Vendean islands
Discover the beautiful landscapes of the island of Yeu! Admire the cliffs, and visit the old castle. The island can only be reached by boat from the ports of Fromentine and Saint-Gilles. Or visit the island of Noirmoutier, also called Mimosa Island, a paradise for nature lovers! The island has beautiful and long beaches, from Barbâtre to Guérinière there are 7 kilometers of coastline, where you can take long walks and practice water sports.
